Canines for Christ is an international Christian-based, animal-assisted therapy ministry that uses ordinary people and their beloved dogs to share God’s message of love, hope, kindness, and compassion to the community. We are a 501c3 non profit charity under IRS guidelines. Pioneered by Chaplain Larry Randolph, Canines for Christ has been in existence since July 2007.

What is our mission?

Our mission is to bring love, comfort, and hope, and to let Christ's love shine through us and our dogs. As ambassadors for Christ and God's Kingdom, we partner with our dogs to share the love and compassion that so many humans need. We want them to know that God really does love them, and hopefully be able to share God's life saving message with them.

Some humans are so hurt, they may not think God loves them, or want to hear any message. In these cases, don't underestimate the power of a dog's (or any animal's) show of love and affection. It just may be the key that is needed to unlock a hardened or hurting heart so that God's love can move in. After all, God's word tells a story where God used a donkey to convey an important message too! Even just seeing the bright red vest with the bold yellow letters "Canines for Christ Ministry" can plant a seed in someone that God can later water and make it grow!

We give God all the glory and praise as we humbly try to serve God in this unique ministry.

About our "resident" Canines for Christ Dog:

Cookie is an Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler). She loves meeting new people and will lean into you to show you her affection. She will most likely try to give you kisses too (ok she definitely will!). Cookie loves everyone equally, a trait as Christians we all need to work on. She is quite intuitive and seems to know those humans who are especially hurting, as well as those who may be nervous of dogs and she will greet those humans a little more gently.

Cookie is also trick trained, having earned 3 AKC trick titles, so she can be quite an entertaining dog as well if you need a good laugh. In her spare time when Cookie isnt helping to share Christ's love and affection, Cookie likes to mountain bike, hike, and do dog agility.
